3. Learning on Screen Awards 2023 is open for entries!

Since 2005, the Learning on Screen Awards have showcased the best in educational film and television. They celebrate a wide range of broadcast and professional productions as well as provide a platform for generations of upcoming student filmmakers.

They’re accepting entries made between 14th January 2022 and up to our entry deadline of Friday 27th January 2023. Nominees will be announced in March 2023 and winners will be announced on Thursday 4th May at a central London venue; to be confirmed soon!

Who should enter?

  • Broadcasters, independent documentary filmmakers or organisations that produce educational programming or online resources
  • In-house university or college teams producing films to promote their institution, courses or services
  • Lecturers or researchers creatively reusing film in their teaching or research
  •  Anyone producing MOOCs or other online resources that incorporate moving image
  •  Student filmmakers: we have six student categories (including documentary, music video and animation) at student entry rates
  •  Anyone who is making educational films on any topic
